Everyone loves to blog about their bikes. Sometimes I think blogs were invented purely for this fact. In-keeping with the spirit of things, thought I’d just take a minute to mention how totally RAD mine is. As promised in the previous post, the musical gems encountered at the Park Hill screening were just as good. Call me a luddite, but i’m not the most au fait with Warp Records artists. The usual suspects (Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Autechre) I have some faint musical grasp about, however delving deeper into their catalogue of artists blew my tiny mind. Perhaps a little OTT, but really, it makes you want to look a little further than the more popular dance/electronica characters. Warp Records celebrated its 20th anniversary last weekend back in its birthplace Sheffield. Any excuse to go back to Sheffield is fine by me, so that I did. Quite a few events were going on. Mega rave at Magna Science Museum Park JCB place on the Saturday, however I spurned this to spend the evening watching films on a council estate (partly due to the out of my monetary league £19 ticket price for the dance extravaganza, partly because I love council estates).
